KDE Connect

In my last post I talked about using the KDE window manager and now I am hooked. One thing I really like about KDE is KDE Connect.

KDE Connect connects your phone and computer. This makes it easy to

• Transfer files between your devices
• Copy to the clipboard
• Run commands remotely
• Use phone as a presenter
• Receive phone notifications on your laptop
• Send SMS from your desktop
• Locate the device

Most of these features look like gimmicks. However, using them helped my disconnect from my phone while at work. Usually I would place my phone on my desk. It rings, vibrates and distracts. Now I am able to put it away. So KDE Connects helps disconnecting.
