Checking out a coworking space
Two times a week I am working in Altdorf and the other days I’ll work from home in Sarnen. Working from home has its perks, especially when being a parent. I can share dinner and tea time with my child. However, I do not have a private office room at home. The room I am working is called the “children’s bureau”. In my (recent) experience it is better to separate the private from the business life.
So today I spent a few hours in a local workspace. I wanted to know what it feels like and what the vibe is. The place hosting the place is called Startup Pilatus. You can book directly online. The price seem very fair. Four hours is CHF 21, a full day is CHF 37 and an entire month is CHF 400.
The coworking space is not spacious. There were hardly any people in the shared space. Also the shared space only had ~8 workplaces. The chairs are cozy and the monsteras abundant. If I feel drawn back to this place, I’ll give it another chance.
I was told many times that I have a blind spot for my desk at home. My twin brother scolds my for not brightening up the place. There is no personal touch nor any decor, only stuff that does not belong on a desk. I tried to parry him by adding a raspberry pi with some blinking LEDs. But his hardly improved the situation.
