Keyboard shortcuts can make dealing with computers a lot easier. But for some unknown reason they are well hidden secret. This time I found a new shortcut for Firefox and would like to share it with you.

The most used key on my keyboard are most likely super + tab. Pressing these keys will give you a preview of the last opened windows. By holding super and pressing tab again you can cycle through the windows / programs. Some program support multiple windows and allow switching between them using super + `.

The most heavily used program is the browser. I am using LibreFox, a hardened version of Firefox, with a few well-known extension. At work I switch between multiple tabs using the cursor. Very inefficient! Only now I learn that you can have the same experience of switching between programs and windows for browser tab.

Configuring it is very simple:

Browse
about:config

Find
browser.ctrlTab.sortByRecentlyUsed

Set
true

And then you can use ctrl + tab to show and cycle through the preview of the last tabs. Very useful!
