I feel very uncertain about the near future. Climate change, migration, pandemics, rise of populism, oligopolistic capitalism i, post-fact, artificial intelligence, the list goes on. It is a lot to think about and to make sense of. However, I try to embrace what comes and avoid doom and gloom. Making up new words is one way into the future.

Der Zukunft mit Optimismus zu begegnen fällt aktuell schwer. Die Pandemie (fast) hinter uns, aktuell der Krieg in der Ukraine und die nächste Krise stellt sich bereits in die Warteschlange und wartet auf den Ausbruch. Mit dem Kampf gegen die Klimawandel werden wir vollends auf die Probe gestellt. Psychisch und ökonomisch angeschlagen geht es demnächst um nichts anderes als die Umwelt und uns zu retten.

The world is changing and so does it in 2019. Time to make so predictions for the new year.

I firmly believe that we will see huge progress in the field of secure user authentication. As you might know the current state of authentication is fundamentally flawed. Users set weak passwords, 2-factor authentication is a usability mess and accounts are compromised on a daily basis. These problems are well known and big tech companies have tried to tackle them on their own.
